Journal of Turkish World Studies does not require authors to transfer the copyright of submitted articles to the journal. Authors (or the respective institutions) retain the copyright for their work. The journal only requests that authors agree to publish their articles under the CC BY-NC license. Accordingly, all articles published in Journal of Turkish World Studies are open access and may be reused in accordance with the terms of the CC BY-NC 4.0 open access license.
Articles published in the Journal of Turkish World Studies retain copyright with their authors and are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) standard.
Authors wishing to submit their articles to our journal are required to read the "Copyright Agreement" available at the link below and upload a signed copy to the system at the time of submission.

The corresponding author, declare and confirm on behalf of all authors for the above-mentioned related work:
• That the article submitted to the Journal of Turkish World Studies is a new and original work of the author(s);
• That all authors have individually contributed to this work, have seen and approved the final version and accept full responsibility for this work;
• All authors grant the Journal of Turkish World Studies the right to publish the aforementioned intellectual work under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license;
• All authors grant permission under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license for the work to be shared, copied, reproduced, and adapted in any dimension and format, including remixing, transforming, and building upon the original work, provided that attribution is given appropriately and that the work is not used for commercial purposes;
• That e-mail and other information about all authors have been entered correctly into the system of the Journal of Turkish World Studies (https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/egetdid);
• That the article has not been previously published elsewhere or has not been offered for publication;

Open Access Policy
The Open Access Policy refers to the unrestricted online availability of research data, allowing for the free use of data according to specified criteria. Through this policy, readers can access relevant publications online without charge and disseminate research findings without limitations. In this context, the Journal of Turkish World Studies has signed the Budapest Open Access Initiative.
Since 2024, the Journal of Turkish World Studies has published all scientific works under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. According to this license, articles published in the journal remain the copyright of the authors. Under this license, articles published in the journal may be reused by the author and any non-commercial entity for non-commercial purposes, as long as it complies with the CC BY-NC license. However, commercial users or those intending commercial use must obtain permission from the authors, and the CC BY-NC license information must be indicated in any reused work.
Under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, the following can be done without restriction:
• Share: Allows copying and redistributing the article in any medium or format.
• Adapt: Permits remixing, transforming, and building upon the work.
However, the following conditions must be met:
• Attribution: Proper credit must be given, a link to the license provided, and any changes made must be indicated. Fulfilling these conditions does not imply endorsement by the licensor of the user or the way the work is used.
• Non-Commercial: Indicates that the article is not permitted for commercial use.
No Additional Restrictions: No legal terms or technological measures may be applied that restrict the permissions granted under the license.
